    Description

    Antique Triple Movement Safe Mechanism
*** by Diebold Safe & Lock Company, Canton, Ohio***
This is an absolutely beautiful antique three movement bank vault timer. The beveled glass is etched with the maker's name: Diebold Safe & Lock Co. Canton, Ohio". All three clock mechanisms are marked with words that begin with a fancy letter "E" but the rest of the name is covered up by the housing... from our research we believe that they were made by E. Howard Boston Company. T
he sides have etched Art Deco designs and the inside is hand engraved "Pat. May 22, 1894". Inside the frame of the lid is the number "1177", which matches the number incised on the side "1177".
The box appears to be solid brass, although some parts look as if they could be gold or gold plated. The box measures approximately 5 1/2" long, 4 1/4" high, and 2" deep. It is attached to a mounting bracket, so all together the measurements are 7 1/4" long,  4 1/4" high, and 3 7/8" deep. It weighs 6 lbs. Be sure to
