  • Condition: Superb Original 1967 Second printing FD #071 Avalon Ballroom poster measures 13 13/16" x 21 3/8" that remains EX to NM condition with single tack holes in 3 corners! I offer it's companion FD#067 in another listing. Lower left corner has some slight surface blemishes which are likely due to some pesky silverfish feasting upon it! SEE FAR MORE DETAILS BELOW regarding the printing dimensions!!

    According to Eric Kings book copyright 1980 A Collector's Guide To The Numbered Dance Posters Created for Bill Graham & The Family Dog 1966-1973 (which I have a copy of) he references this poster in both original & 2nd printings! My poster has dimensions that coincide with the 1st printing for the width (as referenced by Wolfgang's Vault as 13 13/16") but with the 2nd for the length as 21 3/8". Eric King's book lists the first printing as 13 7/8" x 21 7/8"& reprint 13 7/8" x 21 3/8". Go figure?! Anyway that's why I'm referencing this as the reprint or 2nd printing. Many of my original posters including almost all of the Avalon Ballroom Family Dogs I bought while attending University of Colorado in Boulder in the mid-late 1970's from a record store on Broadway I used to frequent. Others I bought in NYC from The Psychedelic Solution gallery in the early 1980's. Most are framed with many matted in my home but a few remained unframed as this one did.
